Chrysler to eliminate nearly 13,000 jobs

OK guys, I know this is not the usual stuff I talk about here, but I can't help it. Everyone is crying about US automakers losing money, and how US buyers are killing the car makers by NOT buying American cars. Well I say THIS is the time for US automakers to wake up and smell the coffee. People buy the Hyundai and Kia and other foreign cars for lots of reasons. But there are a few BIG ones. First the US automakers have priced their cars too high. Secondly the warranty offered by US automakers sucks. Lets face it, as a buyer if I can get a good car at a LOWER price WITH a better warranty Why wouldn't I? I mean lets check it out... The Kia Sedona is well equipped and costs less than a Dodge Caravan, and has a longer warranty. 6/60 and 10/100 as opposed to 3/36. HMMMMM. No brainer. Do American automakers expect buyers to just buy American just because it's American?!? Get a grip guys!!! Make a better product, at a good price with a good warranty and PEOPLE WILL BUY IT!

Battlefield 2142

OK guys... First of all I want you to know I'm a gamer. Recently, a friend, who's name we wont mention, got me hooked on Battlefield 2142. SOOO I bought the game, and started playing only to find out that I was having problems. The game just dumped me out to the desktop without warning. SOOO Naturally I contacted EA (Electronic Arts) about the problem. Well Their tech support told me they don't support my Nvidia GT 6600 video card!!! Now this card is NOT old, and it runs other games like FEAR and Half Life2 and such without fail.

It must be nice to be able to write crappy code, and send it out for us to buy and worry about fixing it only after enough people complain... Oh yeah, they follow the Microsoft Philosophy.

Snow in Arizona??

So it happened... I've been here for 7 years almost, and this is the first time it snowed! I was even able but NOT ALLOWED to go to work this morning because of it?!? I mean, in NY this would hardly have qualified as an event, but it was BIG NEWS here.

So, another Halloween has come and gone. This year was a little bit different. The two older ones went out with their friends for the first time, leaving me and the little ones to Trick or Treat by ourselves.
Matt lost his StormTrooper mask early on, so he was bummed the rest of the night, but Sammy really got into it. To tell you the truth, I like it almost as much as they do!

Everybody Monkeys with Sammy

Yup, even at Disneyland, Everyone loves to mess with Samantha. Here's a picture of the four monsters with one of the lovable characters that walk around Disney. It never fails, no one can resist monkeying around with Sammy. (no pun intended).

Camp Snoopy

Well, It's over... We're back from California. I could use a vacation from my vacation, but the kids had fun. I'll post a few pics as I get them from the camera, but I just thought I'd share this one of the little guys, Matt and Sammy (the two on the left) really enjoyed The rides. 

The little one works harder than the big ones.

This is my Sammy. She may be the littlest one of the four, but she is the hardest working of all. Here she is helping me and Uncle Bill move 8 tons of rocks all over our yard.

Well, the kids actually did something other than play video games for a change. I can't get them to help me, but they'll help their Uncle Bill. :) 

My Little Brownie

Well, another milestone in the life of my kids has been reached. My little one, Sammy (in the middle next to the flag) has just finished with Daisies and this Girl Scout ceremony bridges her and her friends into Brownies.

It's nice to see that the scouts still have respect for the flag also!!

Gotta Love Cannon Balls

There's my Sammy. AIRBORNE for what seems like her 50th cannon ball of the day. This one has no off button! Well, it's that time of year again, and the pools are open, so naturally the kids are taking FULL advantage of every opportunity to have fun. The soon to be 6 year old Samantha, is no exception.

Pinecar Derby results...

OK, this last week was the Pack 437 Pinecar derby. See I thought the race was next week, so I wasn't speedy in helping the boys cut their cars. I started Matt's car (on the left) the week before, but I told Mark he could wait 'till this weekend. Well the day of the race Some one reminded me of the correct race day, and I had like an hour and a half to help the boys get ready. Mark's car wasn't even cut yet. SO, I cut a simple wedge for him, and then while he painted it I tried to find weights. We didn't have any left. So we went to the pack meeting as is, well, they were out too. So the kid's cars were being weighted down with pennies and such. Well by the time they got to Mark's car they were all out of change so they used what was left. YUP a 9 volt battery. Well, after all that, both of these cars are looking kinda ugly, BUT Matt's car won the pack overall, and Mark's car took 1st place for his den. Not too shabby for these ugly pinecars huh?? But hey, the kids had fun AND they won, so that's what counts right?!?

I am in soooo much trouble

The Soccer Player

OK, see all four of my kids are soccer players, but this one seems to take to it the best. He is a natural to the sport. The only problem is, he has such a nonchalant attitude about everything because it comes too easy to him. If only he saw what the rest of us see... 

OK, I had the kids get dressed up so we could try to take christmas pictures... after all of the fighting, and shoving, and pushing this is what we got... 

OK, see we got this dog not too long ago, and she's kinda hyper, and she can be a real pain sometimes. BUT she does stuff like this, and she's just soooo cute I can't help but like her. We had her fixed a few days ago, so she was moping around, but as you can see tonight she's back to herself again!!! :)

OK, so I get home, and the kids had these pumpkins that they wanted to do something with. SO, I gave them the kid safe pumpkin cutting stuff and let them have at it. What you see to the left is the result of the hard work of two of the kids. The other two could not be bothered. :) 

A case for natural selection.

OK, a catagory 4 hurricane is heading your way, the water around you looks like hell, and your S T U P I D enough to ride your bike over the pier where this is happening??!?!??!?! If this idiot isn't making my case for natural selection being a "good thing" then I don't know who is. I mean Just HOW bad does it have to get before some common sense kicks in and you decide NOT to do something?!?!?!? SHEESH!!!
